Lagers

Lagers are made with bottom fermenting yeast, which means the fermentation occurs in the bottom half of the keg. Lagers ferment at a lower temperature than ales, which is why lagers have a more clean and crisp flavour and compound. Lagers are refreshing beers and the most widely consumed worldwide. 

Ales

Ales are made with top-fermenting yeast, which means the fermentation takes place at the surface. Ale yeast ferments at a higher temperature than lagers, which means they tend to be more fruity and spicy in flavour and compound. 

Belgian 

Belgian beers are mostly ales with a strong malt flavour. They are fruity beers often flavoured with herbs, spices and citrus additions. 
Wheat beer is usually a top fermented beer, which means the fermentation occurs at the surface. Wheat beer has a much higher quantity of wheat relative to malted barley, this means they tend to be hazy in appearance. They generally have a fuller mouthfeel and have citrus flavours. 

Saison

A saison is a highly carbonated pale ale that is fruity and spicy in flavour. Saisons widely vary in colour, malts and hops.
