Brewing Instructions

Step 1

Place your Beer Barista on a clean, dry bench. Allow 10cm of space between the back of the machine and the wall.

Step 2

Plug your Beer Barista into an electrical point, then switch it on using the power switch located at the rear of the machine.

Step 3

Wash your hands thoroughly. It is important to have clean hands before you start brewing.

Step 4

Open the lid of your Beer Barista, by simultaneously pushing the silver button on the top and lifting the lid. Open the lid. Then remove the brewing vessel lid and set aside.

Step 5

Place your brew bag inside the brewing vessel, with the opening facing you. Peel off the plastic cover, exposing the foil underneath. Position the neck seal. Place the neck seal, from your brewing kit, around the collar of the bag spout (under the bayonets).

Step 6

Remove the lift’n’peel foil seal (ensuring there is no remnant of foil on inner face of neck).

Step 7

Sanitize the funnel. Using the sanitised funnel, fill the brew bag with 2L of room temperature drinking water (ideally between 20-27°C). +

Step 8

Lift the bag out of the brewing vessel and mix the contents by gently squeezing the bag, several times. Return the brew bag to the brewing vessel.

Step 9

Using the funnel, add another 2L of room temperature drinking water (20-27°C) to the brew bag.

Step 10

Consulting your recipe, add the required yeast and any additional hops or additives, using the funnel.

Step 11

Using the funnel, add a final 1L of drinking water (20-27°C) to the bag.

Step 12

Insert the bag neck into the brewing vessel lid. Do this by aligning the bayonet fittings, then turn the lid clockwise, securing the bag neck to the lid. The bag neck must be flush with the lid, and secure. You should feel that you could lift the bag using just the lid. This is an IMPORTANT step. The bag must be secure in the brewing vessel lid.

Step 13

Insert the brew cap into the brewing vessel lid, and secure it, turning clockwise. When tight, the wings will align with the indicators on the vessel lid. The brew cap must be flush with the lid. The lid, the brew cap and the bag below, should feel like one combined unit.

Step 14

Put the brewing vessel lid flush on the brewing vessel. Rotate clockwise, toward the ‘locked’ icon. Feel it lock into place.

Step 15

Thread a locking sleeve over one end of the brewing line. Connect that end of the brewing line to the brass PRV barb. Push the line all the way on.

Step 16

Tidy the brewing line by coiling around the brew cap. Thread a locking sleeve over that end of the brewing line, then connect it to the lower barb on the brew cap. The top brew cap barb should have the safety cap in place.

Step 17

Push the locking sleeves onto each barb – PRV end and brew cap end. It is IMPORTANT that both locking sleeves are secure and well fitted around each barb.

Step 18

Make sure the safety cap is on the top barb on the brew cap.

Step 19

Close the top of your Beer Barista. Take care that the lid does not crush the tube.

Step 20

Follow the on screen steps to select your brewing style. Select your brew.

Step 21

The top button scrolls on screen; the bottom button selects.

Step 22

That’s it! Simple as that. In 7 days your beer will be complete.

Well done... your brew on its way.
